La Marchesa: typical restaurant of the Italian countryside in Monferrato, Piedmont

The Marchesa farmhouse has a typical restaurant of the Italian countryside. The restaurant is located in the Monferrato, in the heart of Piedmont. Is open to the public and offers a zero-kilometer cuisine for food and wine lovers: the specification, which we strictly follow, provides that 85% of the products used are produced by us or by local farms.

Typical Piedmontese restaurant

La Marchesa is a typical Piedmontese restaurant and we are proud to use the ancient recipes of the territory with passion.

A strategic position

You will find us immediately by inserting “agriturismo marchesa” into Google Maps, we are on the road that leads from Novi Ligure to Gavi.

If you are looking for a restaurant in a farmhouse near Milan, you will be surprised to arrive here in an hour, without traffic, taking the motorway to Genoa, detour to Alessandria, exit Novi Ligure.

If you want a farmhouse with restaurant near Genoa, come and visit us, our cuisine combines Piedmontese and Ligurian traditions, given that the Gavi area has been part of the Republic of Genoa for centuries.

For those who live in Alessandria and are looking for a restaurant on a farm, without mosquitoes, our structure will be a real surprise!

If you are at the Serravalle Outlet and are looking for a restaurant in nature near you, come and visit us, you will be surprised by how close we are!

The rules of the restaurant on the farm

Farmhouse restaurants are different from others because they have to comply with very strict rules on the foods offered to customers.

25% of the food offered must come from the farm that hosts the restaurant, the rest up to 85% of the total from farms in the region.

To these rules are added today those of the spacing envisaged for the Covid rules.

Our vegetable garden and our orchard

To comply with the rules of the farm we offer our guests:

Gavi white wines and native reds (Albarossa, Pelvaro, Monferrato) coming only from our vineyards.

Sparkling Brut and dry and sweet Rosé with grapes from our vineyards, sparkling in our cellar.

Vegetables of all kinds according to the season from our gardens.

Seasonal fruit from our orchard.

Wheat: we have a wheat field from which our flour is used to make all types of pasta (lasagne, agnolotti, tagliatelle, spaghetti, etc.), bread, focaccia, biscuits and cakes.

From Piedmontese farms we buy what we don’t produce, milk (which we use to make our yoghurt), cheeses, meat, etc.

In this way we manage to be a zero kilometer agritourism restaurant, with always fresh food, made at the moment.

The restaurant menu

Our restaurant is open on Friday and Saturday for dinner and on Sunday for lunch, all other days including Sunday for dinner only for bookings of at least 10 people.

We offer a tasting menu accompanied by an à-la-carte menu which varies weekly depending on availability.

Restaurant for italian weddings

If you dream of an Italian wedding you can reserve the Gavi room of the restaurant: a perfect location for weddings and receptions in an elegant setting immersed in the Piedmont countryside..

The hall, open on both sides of the garden with spectacular views, is an ideal venue for weddings, baptisms, communions, parties, business meetings.
The maximum capacity is 130 people, to whom we offer special wedding menus created using always local products.

Travel stop

The restaurant can also be an ideal stop for those traveling towards the sea, from the east and west coasts to the Cinque Terre or for those who spend the weekend in the Langhe, in the Monferrato or simply in the Gavi hills.

Given the distance of only 4 kilometers, La Marchesa is a restaurant very close to the Outlet of Serravalle: is perfect for those who, after the weekend shopping, want to have lunch in the countryside away from traffic and crowds, enjoying the typical dishes of the Piedmontese cucina.
