We didn't sent you any news for few months but we didn't forget you, we just had a very busy time and many of you has visited us.
we are very glad now to send you the last news of the year..
8th/10th December a traditional religious holiday in Italy comes on the same days as Dolci Terre di Novi, the yearly fair of piemontese chocolate; we have prepared special menu at our agriturismo mainly based on mixed boiled piemontese meat together with home made mustard
December 17th saturday the monthly antique fair in the center of Novi Ligure, very special due to Christmas atmosphere!!
Vasari at Boscomarengo: 2011 was the year of Giorgio Vasari with variuos expositions held in Firenze and Arezzo, few people knows that Vasari made some very important paintings specially for the Pope Pio V Ghisleri (1566-1572) for the monastery of Boscomarengo where the pope used to be a monk...in the church of Boscomarengo it is possible to see the Vasari's paintings from 10 to 12.30 and from 15 to 18.00 .Boscomarengo is 20 minutes from La Marchesa and we really recommend the tour.
December 24th/25th Christmas we are open with special menu on demand..we still have some places
December 31st special menu for the evening of 31st.... price 60 euro without wines...we still have only few rooms free while for the dinner we can accept reservations
- sampling of our "salame" of Monterotondo (truffled, traditional sewing, grappa and chocolate filled) with fried dumplings
- soncino salad, bacon, Merella's chickpeas and pomegranate
- Gavi white wine braised leek tart with black truffle fondue
- baskets of pastry filled with Zola, Prague and Trevisan Salad
- ravioli di Gavi to 'old sauce' backyard (white meat only)
- lasagna baked with fennel sausage and porcini
- rolled Arista stuffed with chestnuts, bacon and pine nut, pie with rustic potatoes and mushrooms
- pork sausage "Cotechino" and lentils trendy peasant
- double Novi's chocolate cake flavored with orange and cinnamon
- small pastries
Outlet serravalle the sales start of Janaury 5th we still have some places for the night of January 4th for people who wants to be the first and we will be open for the week end of 7th/8th January
Yearly closing we will close on Monday 9th and reopen on wednesday february 8th
